Ok so im sitting at the computer thinking xmas will be here soon i mean OMG its so close!

and then i thought what could i do as a good deed! and then BAM i decided to release one of my styles that i have only used on my site!

its a direct copy so there are already hacks and mod codes inside but its all safe coding so don't worry!

This style was inspired by a gaming software i found on the net so its not oh i made this its original i got my original idea from this other software and i have worked from the bottom up myself creating a similar but better style (i think this is better)!

it has taken about 3-4 weeks to get this how i wanted it and now im almost 100% complete so now im going to release it out here for all of the other gaming sites to have as well

the reason i made this style is because i decided its not fair that the big expensive sites look so proffesional and all of ours looks crap! so to show them that a small site can look just as good as them i give you GamersX

Live Demo (http://www.gamemasterx.com/)

Screen Shot:

I have uploaded a new version that will work with vbadvanced and other mods please remember to change the settings in All Styles Options and change the settings from http://www.gamemasterx.com over to http://www.Your Domain.com so that the site knows where to find the images!

NOTE: this template may also work with 3.6.x just do a style revert!
also note that there will be no psd files for this style as its easy to make your own logo without the psd files!

Very Sexy Skin, perhaps the best I've seen for a gaming site. Nice work.

*edit* I just installed this to play around with it and it does not work - I also noticed when choosing "Gamersx" on your site as the skin it shows up funky too in vbadvanced. Are you sure you did not mean to upload the "gmx-site" skin, which is the one I have showing up correctly on your site with both your forum and vbadvanced, per the screen shot. If not how do you fix it so vbadvanced uses the graphics too.

The same problem happens on your own site when you choose the "gamersx" skin and look at your home 'vbadvanced' page. It only shows up correctly for that skin using the 'gmx-site' option.

Exact same thing I'm experiencing.

I can't seem to get it to work. I'm testing on a local machine so there's nothing for you to look at unfortunetly. I did a search and changed over all the URL's - I'm not sure what table settings you're referring to if that's problem. Basically none of the graphics will show up. It show's up exactly like it does on your site if you choose the gamersx option rather than the gmx-site skin. The forum itself shows up perfectly, it's only the vbadvanced.

did you redownload the new files and re upload everything and reinstall the style and then change the gamemasterx.com to the correct location including in the css at the bottom of the all style options area?

I think I have it figured out now. Thanks for your support. I had to delete everything again and reinstall. I guess I played around too much! :>

Hey don't think you answered my question but will this become a fixed version too?

Hey there yeah sorry i forgot to reply!

sadly no this is a one time job with this template as im constantly working on other peoples designs and on a lot of free designs as well this style is what i use on my site and i just decided yesturday that i would release it as a treat you can easily make it fixed if you want but i will not do changing anything for this style any more! apart from maybe bringing out some new colours when i have more time!

I like the side columns on your site, How would i go about adding that to this style for my site?

dxlwebs
11-15-2008, 10:20 AM
hey its pretty easy!

click AdminCP >>> Stles & Templates >>>>> Style Manager >>>> GamersX Template Edits
then in your custom templates find the vbadvanced templates you want to edit and change the the td and tr to <tr>
<td class="alt1"> most work for vbadvanced is done via new css codes so just run through the extra css codes and find the right code and change the class to the correct area!

if you would like help with implementing the style send me a pm

My friend is using this style. He uploaded everything to the right directory but no images.

We both found a problem. All the images are linked to your site, and your site is down and isn't using this style. We both had to fix this. Everything in this style is linked to gamersx.

To everyone using/getting this style:
Fix everything in the Main CSS and set it to images/blah/blah and fix the links so it links to your site. In the navbar the Home links to Gamersx

Sorry for bumping, i just wanted to let everyone know this.

What a pain in the *** to install. Your CSS needs to be completely edited to point to local files, instead of your site. Other than that, good job.
