Does anyone know why vbulletin wont post the symbol £ "uk currency"?
its really bothering me. just stops wherever that is in the post, you can preview the symbol but saving or posting it doesnt work
any advice?
well, i guess this vbulletin does but not mine??????

Could be a number of issues.
First try disabling all plugins/products via the config.php file edit and test on a default style.
If it works, then there is a conflict with a plugin or product. If it doesn't there is something wrong some where else.

so far disabling the products and plugins hasnt solved it... i guess Ill keep searching. Any other ideas anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

i get this too but only in MGC Chatbox Evo itsdoing my head in :(

my brain also does not feel good.... Why god Why!
...still working on it, def. not any plugin or product, or my header.
There is another section on vbulletin.com at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270014
no one else there has any solutions.
any advice would be most greatly appreciated.
I will check back after my next set of tests

Most likely, the database charset/collation that is set does not support that symbol properly.

any idea how I would tackle that..... you are saying that it is a server side modification that needs to be made and not changes within vbulletin?

resolved by setting the 'HTML Character Set' to utf-8
