Anyone who either customizes skins or had a skin customized ...

How much can I expect to pay when asking to customize something simple.

For instance, I found a really great theme I want to use. I like all of the graphis, buttons, etc .., but the skin has a dark page background with light text, and a darker full background. All I want changed is the color of the page background and the text.

This seems simple enough to me, but I am outsourcing it to the place that sells the skin.

How much should I be willing to pay for this type of cutom work?

For those who had custom work that was similar done for them, how much were you charged if you don't mind me asking.

Depends on the designer and what they dub simple. The ones I have delt with in the past were 40.00/hr. However, in most cases I would think if you were buying a skin from them and needed some alteration(s) they are usually quite reasonable to deal with. As far as what you need, sounds like a simple CSS change, can't see a huge charge for something like that. Of course, like anything it depends how the theme is set up.

I thought as much, but thought I'd ask around before I placed my order.

I never know what I am going to get into when outsourcing, and each community is different. I don't know thw VBulletin community well enough yet, so the feedback is much appreciate. ;)
