vBulletin 3.6.12

vBulletin 3.6.12 contains a selection of bug fixes taken from 3.7, this is the final maintenance release of the vBulletin 3.6 series. Security updates will sill be released until vBulletin 4.0 is available.

The security fixes included in the vBulletin 3.6.11 PL release are also included in vBulletin 3.6.12.

Upgrading from Previous Versions

3.6.12 is a maintenance release. We recommend that all customers running prior versions of vBulletin 3.6 upgrade to benefit from bug fixes and stability improvements.

Full instructions for upgrading vBulletin are available here. (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/upgrade)

PHP and MySQL Requirements

Please note that vBulletin 3.6.x requires at least PHP 4.3.3 and MySQL 4.0.16 or later.

However, we recommend that vBulletin 3.6.x is run on PHP 5.2.6 with APC (or a similar opcode cache) and MySQL 5.0.51 for best performance and stability.

End of Life for PHP 4

PHP 4 has now reached its end of life. We strongly recommend that customers update their servers to PHP 5.2.6 if they are still running PHP 4. vBulletin 3.6.x supports PHP 5 without any problems, though you may need to disable strict mode for MySQL, see here (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/editconfig) on how to enable 'force_sql_mode'.

Note: We will continue to support PHP 4 in the vBulletin 3 series.

Download vBulletin 3.6.12

As usual, vBulletin 3.6.12 is available for all customers with valid, active licenses to download from the vBulletin Members' Area.

What about the end life?
Don't think they will announce it until the official launch of 3.8.

Please follow the 3.8 announcements. This topic only discusses 3.6.

Can it be that this version does have trouble with guest counts ?
It always shows 1 Guest but if I click on Details, there are plenty of guets in my forum.
This happened after I upgraded to 3.7.4

I have not experienced this problem. Try disabling your plugin/hook system and then checking. It could very well be a plugin.

That would be a downgrade, not an upgrade, which is not possible.

3.7.4 is newer than 3.6.12, and thus cannot be downgraded, so unless you ran a 3.6 version in the past and have a database backup from that time, you can't go back to 3.6.x, only upward to newer versions. :)
