To add another field for user to input data, such as website and currenely email. Only should be shown the website and email if some1 actually replies to that thread :)

i have various reasons for needing this hack. At the moment my forum is public, which u can look at if u wish, some peeps give their email offering some help and support, however l8ly they have been complainin about the amount of junk mail that is getting sent to them has greatly risen.

maybe we should get a rules thing in here stating NO LOCKDOWN so people know there isn't one and nobody around here will make one. and also notice how all the people that request this hack always have 1 or 2 pots......might be the same guy. too bad i can't look at their ips. :)

i've use a fair few of the hacks so far on this board :) which i find handy, since no1 seems wishing to do, if i manage to write the hack, would peeps mind if i allowed it to be dl'd as an attachment...

One Minute hack to prevent emails from getting loose on your forum...

1. Tell your members not to post their emails but keep their profiles up to date.

2. Go into the control panels and click on "Options"

3. Click on "User and Registration"

4. Click "yes" next to "Use Email Form".

Now your members have no worries about anyone harvesting their email addresses until they reply. Works wonders. Check it out. Click on the little email icon under this post.
