[Question] Transfering a liscense.

I had wanted to purchase my friends vbulletin liscense, but I am unsure how.

I have a vague idea from other threads, but I am searching for a more definate answer.

I know that the owner of the liscense needs to contact sales@vbulletin.org to request a transfer, but what exactly needs to go into that email? An example model email would be greatly appreciated!

What email account should he use to contact sales@vbulletin.org at, or will any email suffice?

After the request, then what happens?

Please be as specific as possible, I am ready to purchase the liscense from him now, I am only waiting on information on the steps involved in the process of transfering the liscense!

well, that clear things up a bit.

namely, why I couldnt log in with my vbulletin.com forum account,
and why the forums were so drastically different.

/facepalm.
