I am running a single RSS feed on my forum. It is linked to a news site. For some reason, the RSS bot posts the same headline up to 25 times before moving on to another one. Is there a way to remedy this?

When you do a preview in the admin cp, does it also show the same thing several times?

No, it shows each headline only once in the preview.

How often do you have the feed set to be checked? What are the max items to fetch? How often does the Scheduled Task for your RSS Feed run?

The feed is being checked every 60 minutes. 2 max items to fetch. The scheduled task goes every 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 minutes.

That all looks fine. What is the feed and I'll check it on my test site.

Have you tried a different feed?? just to test your setup in the Feeds manager is OK??
It'll be nice to see what Lynne came up with on her test site ;)
I had a bit of a problem with one feed where it wanted to add pictures too, i had loads of html coding added, in the end i had to delete that particular feed.
Just in case, is there a similar feed you could use??
It'll be great to know the outcome of this problem, theres a few members that have just started experimenting with feeds and this should also help them.
Good luck :D

I set it up to run only every 60 minutes and give me 2 threads, just like the OP has it set up. So far, it has run once for me. I got two threads that are both different. So, it has run as expected so far.

I have tried several feeds and have the same issue, so I don't think it's the RSS feed that's the problem, I must have a setting wrong or something. Interesting to see how it turns out for Lynne. :)

It's run twice for me so far and I have a total of three threads posted and all three are different. It seems to be running just fine for me.
Do you have a test site set up where you can run this and change settings and such? I left all my settings default except the two you mentioned (the interval and number of threads).

I don't have a test site, no. :(
I really haven't touched the settings either though, mine are default as well as far as I can tell.
This is weird...

Mine has continued to run just fine. All I can think is that you have some modification interferring with your rss posting. You can try turning off your mods and seeing if that fixes the issue. Since you don't have a test site, this could be a bit difficult since it means turning off mods on your live site.
I'd suggest reading this - Step by Step: Create a test forum based on a 'snapshot' of your live one (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=252648)
