On my forum, when somebody purchases a supporter subscription their name is green, a larger font, and has a blue star.. How do I go about changing the way it looks?

AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > click go next to the user group you want to edit.

Then edit "Username HTML Markup"
