How customized can we make the profile?

I don't mind the current layout, but I would like the 'Stats' page basically redone and was wondering how tedious it might be.

This is what I had in mind what I wanted to do with the 'Stat's page (renamed it in the pic to User Info)

It's just a case of tables and playing with the vB Code that's already there.

Each of the tabs is a template like memberinfo_block_visitormessaging (the main one you first get). So, you need to to and modify the template for the tab you want. When 3.8 comes out - will it be hard to upgrade with something like this in place?

I have not tried out 3.8, but from what I've seen, it has the same sort of tab system on the profile page that 3.7 has, so I don't anticipate you will have problems when you upgrade. *However*, you should always look at the default template after an upgrade and see if there is added code that you might want.
