admincp log in

I have just changed my site to a new server and in doing so i am using a temporary webpage url while i wait for it to propogate. This is an established site with a database already. When i tried to go into admincp i put in username and password and it seems to loop back to admincp login. everythign else is working fine. I have used the tools adn reset cookie path etc..

Is this just a matter of i need to wait for the site to finish propogating and it will work fine or is there somethign else wrong. Could someone give me a hand?
