My NIS 2009 keeps blocking me from this site with the following reasons. NOTE: I put spaces in the URL link because it's the cause of the blocking.


Norton Safe Web has analyzed vbulletin.org for safety and security problems. Below is a sample of the threats that were found.

Severity: High

1 instance found. Here is a complete list:

You should have posted this in the feedback forum, however i generally beleive vB.org to be a safe place

Most likely - someone posted a link to that somewhere, and it has been picked up as dangerous. It should be a false positive though.

Strange i just did a search for "shanghaiexpat" and the only place where this is posted on vB.org, is in the first post of this thread.

Sounds like a false positive to me.

Really? I guess I'm missing it there (or else a Mod has taken care of it). I had searched here also for the word, but my search skillz aren't as mad as yours, I guess. :D

When i click on that link mcafee informs me it is w32/giframer virus and repaires an infected file.

Sorry if I posted the OP in the wrong forum. I was just trying to inform the mods that there was an issue somewhere, but it seems to be cleared up because today I'm in without issue, so
