We converted to vbulletin from SMF. Our vbulletin had a group called Administrator, where vb has AdministratorS. We moved our Admins to the built-in VB Administrators group which left the imported group empty.
Something I've noticed is when I attempt to ban a user, it wants to move them to my imported Administrator group and that's the only option in the drop-down for "Select which group to move them to". Why would this be and how do I fix it?
Thanks!
Buster

Make sure the imported group (Administrator) does not have This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group set to No and make sure the Banned group (usually group id 8) does have that set to No.

Hmmm, I don't have a "banned users" group or a group with an ID of 8. What do you siugggest Lynne?
Thanks!

In order to ban a user, you need to have a usergroup to ban them to. Default vbulletin comes with a Banned Usergroup. I don't understand how you cannot have one. You may need to post over at vb.com for help on this.

Me no understand either unless the other admin accidently deleted it. So, I just created a new "Banned Users" group, turn off all privileges, and set the "Is not a banned user group" to "No".
Shouldn't that do the trick?
Thanks as always Lynne!

Test it out on a test account. (You should always have a test account to make sure your settings are correct. When I'm working on the site, I open another browser (Safari) and have my test account logged in so I can see what the site looks like to a regular user.) Oh, and as I said in my first post, make sure the old Administrator (without the s) group is not set to be a banned group.
