I would like to upload a custom banner for my forum. I know where the forum logo url is located but I have no clue how to upload it to the images directory in my forum directory.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/10/44.png

For example, if your title image is named titleimage.gif and you upload it to the images directory in your forum directory, then you would enter this: images/titleimage.gif

I need to know

a. Where is my forum directory?

b. Where is my image directory?

c. What picture formats I can upload (jpg, png, bmp, etc)?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can use the File Manager in Cpanel. But most people use FTP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ftp).

The relative path shown /images/etc. probably sits in your public_html/forums/ folder. Look around.

And you probably want to use a .jpg, maybe a .gif.

thanks. Actually for some reason, I wasn't allowed to upload pics. So I just uploaded to a third party (i.e. photobucket) and it works fine.

That's a workaround, but not a solution. As you'll find out the next time Photobucket takes a while to load - it'll hang your whole forum if you're using it for your forum logo.

if you are using the default vbulletin style
upload your image to /forumsdirectory/images/misc/logo.gif or favorite file type then change the image path in the control panel where you took the screenshot and chanige the path to /yourforumsdirectory/images/misc/logo.gif or whatever file type the image is. Hope this helped
