Postbit Width Help

Hello, I hope someone can help me with the problem shown in the attachment below. My posts are always shorter than the category bar and I am not sure what to tweak to increase the size. Any help appreciated.

check postbit_wrapper (template)
$spacer_open
$spacer_close

temporarily change to
$DISABLEDspacer_open
$DISABLEDspacer_close

if that works remove it
