How to install Vbulletin upgrades/plugins?

Hi Guys

I am a serious Vbulletin noob so please bear with me. I have found a plugin to Vbulletin on this forum which will allow me to display a list of the most recent posts made on my forum.
My question is: Once I have downloaded it, how do I install it?
Do I need to use a ftp to access the server where my webpage is hosted?
If so is it then just a matter of adding the Vbulletin plugin to a specific folder, the same way as it is done with Wordpress plugins?
Do I need to follow additional steps?
