Moderating Options

Is there any way I can extend the moderating options? e.g. allowing them to ban users etc..

I'm actually having the opposite problem, how can I make it so I can only ban people? and no moderator's/other admins can?

No, but I have some who might abuse the power, so I'd like to make sure no one can ban without my consent. I'd like them to be able to suspend up to 7 days or possibly just deactivate the account until Head Admin (me) Bans or release's them.

Moderators by default can ban ppl, they need to go to the modcp and use the specified link to ban a user.

If no group has this option set to NO (This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group), then they wont be able to ban anyone.

A simple way to not allow anyone the ability to ban users is to make the banned usergroup a non banned group.

This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group <-- Set it to YES

This would require file modification/a hack to make that work for you.

there is a difference between "supermods" & "moderators", please clearify what your asking about as they differ.

I"m not sure, I had someone from VB help me do it - I think he changed some fields in the php file so everyone but 'Said' member can only ban up to 7 days - I will ask and repost in here with how it was done
