smtp question

hi i have an hosting but i have 2 smtp can i use my own smtp server and not from my hosting ? to send emails ?

ok i have done this but i have a question i have now this server:


smpt server:
auth.mailprotect.be

but i get the email like this :

pop3.xxx.eu
so nothings change ?

is the mail now sending from that hosting ?
