I'm debating whether to install vbcredits or vbexperience. It seems like more people like vbexperience since it has more downloads, but i'd like to hear your opinions / the pros and cons of each system

thanks.

vB Credits is good and working fine for me, and it has a lot of advanced features (and a shop system coming soon). It also has more installs if you take the 3.6 and 3.7 versions compared to vB Experience.

vBcommerce (the store) is supposed to still be free when released, but parts will be encrypted, and you'll have to get a license key to use it. Future versions of vbcredits will also be encrypted.

I'm also confused about which solution to use. My goal is to give gifts to users when they reach a certain amount of points using 2 methods: 1) the shop or 2) directly giving them gifts and removing them from their account.

But which solution offer more possibilities to give and manage points? I can read (even if i dont speak perfectly english) the description of each solution, but as told kevinfx what are the pros and cons. I need to decide because I have to start to use it in 2 weeks and Im a bit lost.

It would be also nice if we could in both shop solutions to sell real items..but think they are not ready for that.

Both engines are not even doing the same thing, it is impossible to compare. Experience is based on rating activity on site, points are just extras that you can plug to addons...

Credits is based on participation, but the main goal is to plug the addons to buy or share or purchase extra content for your users... Both are free, why don't you use both and see the potential in some weeks?! they can both work on the same environment without a bug, i have both on a lot of my sites... for different usages!

thanks nexia and yeah there is no comparision between either scripts, that like trying to comepare us with vbplaza again no comparision. Each system is good in its own rights, its up to you which you want to use. And we're doing our best to support our work on both vbulletin.org and our site.
