... can't figure out how on earth to change this coloring back to default, and its driving me bonnkers lol. Its right under my nose... I know it.

just need to replace the orange with default blue coloring.

WOW thank you, I didn't know about that manual, that is extremely helpful! I found it.. the gradient was masking the background color which is why I was flustered. Thanks so much!
