Paid subscriptions all expire Jan 1st

All,

Anyone have a hack or an idea how I might do the following

I want to have a set of forums that are subscriber only, and you can purchase that subscription at any time during the year, but I want the subscription to expire on Jan 1st each year so irrespective of the "take up" date, you have to renew on jan 1st.
