<a href="http://www.fitaholic.com/forum" target="_blank">http://www.fitaholic.com/forum</a>

Please let me know what you think and be honest. Fitness is my passion and I am doing everything to make this site work.

Future Updates:
In less than a week this site will offer a full fitness tracker/pregnancy tracker that will be implemented into the profile page that allows users to track thier fitness logs week by week and add photos for every week if they choose.

Changes Recently Made:
I have omitted two forums that had 5-6 subject topics each so that it doesnt show how empty my site is.
I just added a notice that advises members/guests that once they post 15 posts they will receive two great fitness ebooks at no charge.

I want this site to work so please let me know what you think.

Thank you in advance,

the style is too dark... ok, Twisted Dark™... ;)

your banner is lowered on the display and hide the first line of navigation. your notice is too big, use "float:righ/left" for your images so they are wrapped with the text...

other details are just ok if i can say...

Ok

How do I fix that banner, it works great in explorer. I have removed the notice so it only shows to registered users and I made the notice a little more friendly.

Any other recommendations would be very helpful. I am open to suggestions as I never knew html before july of this year and this site/forum is over a month old.

I would work on designing a new logo. Dark text/images on dark backgrounds don't go. Dark anything on dark backgrounds is a big no so I would suggest in re-colouring the logo giving off more of a prominent feel so members can see better.

I noticed that theres redundant white square background surrounding your forum staus icons. I would suggest a technique I use (pending you have a graphics editor) is take a screen shot of the area and load it into (photoshop if you have it) and set a fixed size (size of the forum icons) with the marquee tool and take cut the gradient background from the screenshot and place it on the bottom layer of the forum icon source file and voila you have a flawless looking background with crispier/sharper looking icons. Obviously, this only applies to background with gradients with more than one colour.

I would also set about replacing the default vbulletin images for custom icons (check your what's going area) and possibly change the subforum icons.

The thread display contains a lot of vbulletin stock images (threadmarkers, lastpost etc icons) replace them with custom imagary that will not only look consistent with the theme but give off a visually appealing presence.

Overall, I find the style too dark, way to dark and I can only suggest that you can make this more visually appealing with minimal effort by making some changes to the background colours in the style css.

Regardless of my grievances goodluck with your site.

No hack. I am just shelling out more money than a Leprocahn who had his pot of gold stolen.

Thank you. The site looks 10 times better now and is just so much easier on the eyes, all by changing the style.

Thank you to all of you for looking at the site, your comments helped me realize I should pull away from the darkside.

The new style is a vast improvement. Cleaner, crispier, sharper & so much easier on the eyes. Well done, and I don't say that often because people will never take the advice of others and use this area purely to advertise their forum which is a shame.

There's still a few things I find that could be improved. The status forum icons are different from one another The forum_new.gif and the forum_old.gif. I would personally use the Link removed by shelley icon as both. What I suggest is lower the opacity of it for the forum_old and keep it as is for the forum_new. This will keep it consistent in the way of images visually looking the same and not to mention the light forum icons looks so much better than the black coloured variation that you have.

I've also noticed in the threaddisplay you still have the default vbulletin threadmarkers applied. Even though they look better on the new style I would still go about in having them changed.

I got your pm and I agree that changes still need to be made to the logo. Instead of the redish text I would use the same purple that is present in your style and possibly had a slogan underneath so it breaks out the bareness in that area. Even possibly add an image to break this area out even more.

All in all, much better. So much better than the (i can say it now) the hideous black style that never really complimented your site and now you have something more visually appealing. Nice work and best of luck. :)

Ps. I linked one of your images in this post as you can see (preview purposes to explain to you). Once you reply I will remove the image from this post.

Yes thank you.

I don't know why people use this particular forum for advertising only, they really should listen as they have probably put a lot of effort into their site.

This small change has made so much improvement that I am really just so relieved that you and a few others posted their comments. I will make a few more changes based off your notes.

I hated the black forum_new icon and couldn't figure out how to make it look consistent, changing the opacity is a great idea.

Thank you again for taking the time....

I am so happy with my site now that I am thinking off adding it to the board of the month for oct/nov
