Grant access to forum only to certain GROUPS

hi to all:
my question would be if there's a way to grant access to the forum only ti ceratain USER GROUPS like vip staff when my forum is closed, something similar when i close the forum and i can access as administrator....Hope you guys understand what i want to do..
