Search only works on the contents of posts...

You should use the Advanced Search and search for posts made by you. ;)

Why would you want to do that, when it's in Advanced Search:

As stated in this post here.
It says to the left on Advanced Search, Search For Posts By User, you can restrict it to a forum even, but I'm not sure if you can restrict it down to a specific thread.
EDIT: Yep, you can do that to, down to the very thread.

I think the easiest way to search a thread for your own posts is to click on the number of replies next to the thread title. This will display a list of all the people that replied to the thread, scroll down to your own name (or use ctrl+f) then clcik on the number beside your name, this will show you all the posts that you made in that thread.

I knew about clicking on the Replies to find out how many posts you (and others) have made in a thread, but didn't know I could click on the number to get the actual list of posts. Learn something new everyday, thanks!

I got a better idea...
We need a hack/mod with an option on newthread.php to send u 3 pm/email [green/yellow/red] at least after the post you are interested for an answer...
sometimes I post a question and never find again the thread or can't keep memory of all my issues :( maybe on the next 3 post after my question I will receive my answer ;)
p.s. I'm realistic, I won't force the Staff to do it, instead I have to lobby long time for it, or hire a coder, or find an interested coder on my idea... See? :p

Just subscribe to the thread if you need help being reminded of your questions pending answers. No need to further complicate things IMO.

"Find My Posts" is an option in the "Search This Thread" dropdown.
