How to install mods???

Hey guys. I just put my forum up about 1 week ago and have been lookin for some mods. Only thing is I don't get what I have to do to get them on my forum. It says download the files to my forum directory, does that mean through my cPanel? and where do I put them? Please help me I need mods bad. Thanks guys. Sorry for the n00b question.

Instead of getting someone to do it for you, it is always best try it yourself first. It will only make a better admin, you won't learn anything if you get someone else to do it for you. ;)
