Quick questions...
shold be easy if you know.
is there a way to set it so a moderator/admin can NOT post in a thread it if its closed? but still be mod/admin, so to speak.
on per forum bases? ie: can post in closed threads (and open/close them) in some but not all forums?
If so, WHERE is that setting? I couldn't find it.
I tried ADMINCP >> USeRGROUP >> USERGROUP MANAGER >> Can Open / Close Own Threads [NO] (but that didn't work :( ).
ie: where is the option to turn on/off being able to post in closed threads?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think so...
Can Open / Close Own Threads If this permission is enabled then members of this group will be able to open / close their own threads by selecting the "Open / Close Thread" option from the "Thread Tools" menu on the showthread page.
An open thread is open to replies. A closed thread is not open to replies, not including admins and mods.
I think it must be set like that by default and would probably need code changes or something.

Did you find a fix for this? I am sick of moderators posting after it is closed. It is very annoying, shouldnt this be in the default package?

search "closed" "all mods" "titles only" and you'll find some mods

I'm unaware of any mod that would do this.
Is this really a big problem? Can't you just tell them to be more careful? In the last year we've had it happen exactly once; upon realizing her mistake she deleted the response. No big deal.
OTOH, I just recently added a post to a closed thread, trying to clarify why the moderator had closed it.

Stopping the mods from being able to do this would be better, it would prevent us having to tell them not to because they already cant and when they realise they cant they wont ask why they cant and accept it.
