Will the Tab Mod work for my site?

It's constantly changing while I"m updating it, but the tabs (home general board, ect.) is where I want the forum to be, and there will be links in the blue highlighted area, for the 'sub-boards'


Does this make sense? Is it possible to do with the Mod?

I'm not sure what you are asking of us. You ask if it is "possible to do" with *the Mod*? What Mod? And do what? Just put links in the highlighted area?

From what users from VB have told me, is you have to have a 'Mod' to put your Forum's into 'tabs'.


If you view on the page, Home will not have a forum, but General Board, Sports, entertainment, ect.. Will all be forums,, and the links below the tab, are the 'sub-boards- for each one.

I was quite confused that I needed a modification to put my forums like that, into tabs, and wanted clarification that's what I HAVE to have.

Basically: I think it's HIDEOUS to have all of the boards/forums on the one page, and Do not want it.

Do I need a modification to seperate them into tabs? I heard I will need one, and heard that's going to be difficult to do.

I'm really not knowlegded in this, so any additional help/details will be great.

Just by looking at your site, no, you don't need the Tabbed Forum Home Mod to do what you are wanting to do. You want to do something similar to how vborg does by appending the FORUMID to the end of the forumdisplay.php URL example = forumdisplay.php?f=184

Supposedly, I heard this would be the hardest part for me on my site, so if I don't need it, it would be awesome to get a few ppl to agree / disagree on if I need it...I don't want to think I don't need it, not get it, and can't do what I want...
