To be honest, I like the look of the old site rather than the new. I can only compare it to having a ferarri and exchanging it for a top of the range lada. So all in all the old look (esp for me) looks better.

The header seems amatuerish to me with badly cropped images and blurred cropped images within the logo aswell as a font with a badly implemnted stroke and gradient within. In a nutshell, it's the kind of logos design the first time they use a graphic s editor.

Don't assume that the people visiting your site are blind, They may be just a little short sighted which leads me to ask why such a big font? referring to the bio text. The text really doesn't need to be this big and should be aligned in a neat and oragnized fashion.

The colours (colours of the text links) will deter your visitors from staying. It's blinding to say the least when you use such bold colours on a dark theme. There's no rule to say that you can't use primary colours but in cases such as this keep it safe with colours (softer, more subtle) so you save on the lawsuits in visotrs needing eye surgery.

reviewing the forum

Lets face it. You cannot be happy with the header for the forum? it looks terribly bare with large spacing on each side followed by a font and blending mode that looks (as stated above) amatuerish.

With regards to the links the speech bubble could become irrating and repetitive to say the least and in the hovered state the quality of the bubble is terrible with jaggy edges and colours that are at each end of the spectrum. In short the colours don't compliment one another very well.

There's to much going on in the way of scrolling text, terrible colour implementation and icons that are saved incorrectly resulting in the wrong matte colour being applied.

All in all, I'm not keen on the style I would suggest in re-creating it and/or choosing another style as there's plenty of styles here and other sites to choose from which in my opinion are visually superior to what your using now.

Goodluck anyway. :)
