Add popup to BBCode button without editing files

Hi, I have used this tutorial (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=97295&highlight=buttons) to create a custom BBCode for my board and I need to give an option to the user to insert a parameter for the BBCode tag, but the only way I know it can be done is editing the vbulletin_textedit.js file.
I want to know if there is another way to do this without editing files. I hate editing files -.-
