minimum character errors, on my vb 3.7 board. Im' going crazy as I cannot seem to find the cause to the problem and really need your help.
When posting/editing a large post, I now getting the following error.
The following errors occurred with your submission:
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.
I believe the problem occured when I installed vbTube Pro (not sure), I disabled the plugin but still the same problem occured. I even Disabled all the hooks still the problem presisted.
I have the following set under AdminCP
Minimum Characters Per Post 0 //unlimited
Maximum Characters Per Post 0 //unlimited
Any one know what may be causing this problem?

Create a New Style with no Parent Style. Test again using the new style, does your problem persist?

nope.
Just now... I downloaded 3.7.3 version and updated the forum, using all the default files (uploaded before running the 3.7.3 update with default template)
http://www.fragmasters.co.uk/forum/index.php (default template)
I am still getting the above message;
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.

You seem to have contricted yourself in your own post... first you say the problem goes away, then you say it comes back? I'm confused. :confused:
If you use the new "Default Style" which you've create, do you receive the error message? Or can you post normally?

Check your ACP minimum character's allowed. It's not vbtubePro. I use the paid version with about 20 other mods. Something changed in your ACP for posts.

The error message is still there, even after a fresh update to 3.7.3
The error message comes up using the default style.
Uploaded all the default 3.7.3 files, still error message remains.
ACP settings are, Minimum Characters Per Post 0 and Maximum Characters Per Post 0, but error message still comes up.
The error message;

Follow the instructions given here: Help! I've broken my board! (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/disable_plugins) to disable your plugins temporarily. Then with both plugins disabled and using the new default style, does your issue persist?

Followed the following instructions;
Tested:
Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Common Templates (in the menu) -> headinclude
** problem still remains. <---
Tested:
Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> [Add New Style]
** problem still remains. <---
Tested:
If you still have the problem then try disabling your plugins:
Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Plugin/Hook System
** define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); // completely disabled all hooks
** problem still remains. <---
Tested: Also run a file check to look for customized files. Upload the original files if any problems are reported:
Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions
*** removed all suspect files and problem still remains <---
The problem is still there, same error message.

Have you tried setting your min post count to 1 and your max to something real large, like 99999 and seeing if you still get the error?

Have you disabled ALL hacks?

You mentioned you had the minimum and maximum charcter settings both set to 0. That probably won't work. Set them to something normal like:
minimum = 1
maximum = 10000
All the best,

I was told to do this by vb staff.
It still does not work.

Then reply to the ticket saying it still happens.

The descriptions for both settings say use 0 to disable... anyway vBulletin.com should probably be able handle your problem now. :D
