can someone point me in the right direction of how to add skins to a forum. thanks

Usually when you download a skin, it comes with install instructions especially regarding exactly where they expect you to upload your images. So, make sure you read those. This is from the manual - Uploading a Style (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/style_upload)
