Vbulletin Blog?

Hey was wondering if it's worth the extra coin to toss in a few bucks for this system?
I was considering getting it for my gaming site, but does anyone have any opinions on it? Maybe there's possibly better free alternatives out there already, I know I was checking out "Zoints" which was a social networking site for VB.

I feel it's missing something, can't quite put my finger on it heh I might even consider writing my own social networking system for my website, but should i re-invent the wheel? .___.

Basically, is anyone out there running this software? Are there users actually using it?

Its pretty decent and I think 2.0 will bring a lot of requested features to the table. I think the big thing thats missing is new blog entries and stuff dont show up on new posts so it feels like a totally different and unconnected part of your site. Some of the mods here help.

I dont think I've seen anything better as far as mods go.

Don't expect a lot of members to embrace it. These days they've got blogs all over, and they're all blogged out.

Still, I like the idea of having them inside vb instead of having separate ones out in a CMS or somewhere.
