Major Help With VB database needed

My database tables have somehow split into the original tables eg starting vb..... but somehow there has also appeared the same tables but without the vb at the start.

The forum now appears to be running off both these, can these be merged or at least members posts and actual members merged into the original tables so i can then remove the tables that it shouldnt be using?

You can't be running off both sets of tables it is either one or the other. Check your config.php file to see which table prefix is defined there. Then look into the tables that don't have this prefix (or have the other prefix).

config file (as it always has been) is running off the prefix 'vb'

But if i remove the non vb starting tables, database errors occur and the forums cant run

have reloaded them back for now as the site doesnt work without them

What was the full error message, you received before? (Right click a select "View Source" and paste it here).

You may be able to recreate it by just removing a single table.

What about if you remove those tables you gave in post #5 except those that begin with casino_ ?

No problem, those "casino" tables are related to a modification I presume. (Which doesn't use table prefixes defined in config.php, but its own prefix).

Just make sure you compare the tables you've removed to make sure they don't contain any data you need e.t.c.
