I am absolutely pulling my f****** hair out at the moment trying to change a banner.

I've changed the skin, and i've made a logo/banner for the skin, i've read loads of ways of doing it and i've tried every ++++ing way. Excuse my language but it's totally pissing me off.

What way are you trying to do it now?

I tried putting it on imageshack and putting the URL in the code.

I then tried changing it's name as the same on the skins logo and then uploading it and changing it that way.

I tried a different name and then changing it in my administrator panel on the forum.

This is killing me :@!

I can't tell if you've made too many edits that are all confuzzled at this point, but adding a banner should be a fairly simple process. If there are no other template edits to your header template that your skin is dependent on, revert it and just add the image URL in field for your banner in the Style Manger. No need to upload images to Image Shack.

I did it to imageshack and to my host. Neither worked.

The URL of the image doesn't matter. Your not applying it correctly. Did you revert your header template already?

I see that you did in fact revert the template, but you haven't yet added the URL of your image in the Title Image field of your Style Manager.
