a few of my members have a small plus sign next to their username in the who's online list. i would like to know why!

Does the style you use remove the legend? The + sign is a standard indicator...

+ User is on your buddy list

ok. the users that have it are on my buddy list. how do i remove this thing?

User CP -> Miscellaneous -> Buddy / Ignore Lists
