What does this product do?
It displays announcements on Forumdisplay and Forumhome.

How to install?
Import Product. Done

How to deinstall?
Deinstall Product. Done

Want to use code from this modification?
Please use it and write a better Announcement CMS. I have limited time and would be pleased if someone likes this idea of a cms and write a better one.

FAQ

General announcements are shown on Forumhome.
Forum specific announcements are shown on Forumdisplay, but only in this forum, not within subforums.
no database changes, no additional files, no code changes
1* query on Forumhome and Forumdisplay. 0 query on Forumdisplay, if there is no announcement.
(*) If you redirect with [ img ] to another post, it adds queries

This is very cool.. added random images to the template, so my visitors see a new image each time they visit a forum from a collection of our members.

Product completely upgraded. Now it uses announcement system. It just displays announcements on left column on Forumhome / Forumdisplay.

(Advanced: All templates are cached now. Saves one more query on Forumdisplay if there is no announcement at all.)

Upgrade highly recommended.

not working on all forums what can i do to fix? If I pick a general forum like lobby it shows the announcement on the side. But if I pick all forums then it doesn't show anything on top or on the side. This mod has alot of potential because I like to run ads down the side of my page and this would be excellent to run ads with video clips.

You can include ads as announcements support html. Announcements are only shown in the forum where they belong to. They are not shown in subforums. Therefore a general announcement is only shown on Forumhome.
