I dont seem to have the option to ban IP addys, I have the same spammer with a different handle & same IP addy.

any ideas, version 3.7.0

It's in vboptions > User Banning Options

Did you enter the IP in Banned IP Addresses? And, do you have Enable Banning Options set to Yes?

I have the option set to yes, & I see where i can place the IP addy, I was under the impresion that by banning the user, the IP addy would be included & he would not be able to join again.

Nope, IP bans must be entered manually. A user may use more then one IP over the time they are a user, so as you ban more and more people the IP list could ban people accidentally.
