Hi everyone!

We are searching for a solution for the following problem:

The subforums should be sorted by the date of the last post:

sub 2 - day 1
sub 4 - day 2
sub 3 - day 3
sub 1 - day 4

For example a few days later:

sub 3 - day 1
sub 2 - day 2
sub 1 - day 3
sub 4 - day 4

etc.

Is there any possible solution for vbulletin? Add-on, template editing...?

I can see where you are coming from, but there is no easy solution to this.

It would definitely require a hack, and I am pretty sure one has not been written to do this.

That's why i am asking here! :D

Its for the official club forum of Werder Bremen, we need something to sort the subforums (one for each player). Since the admin of the club can't do it... :(

I think it can't be that hard to solve this problem.

Is there any way to take the "sort by last post" function for threads to the subforum-template?

Sounds like it would require some complex coding to achieve this. Out of curiosity, why do you need this sort of setup?

BTW Werder Bremen=My fave German team since I used to live in Bremen =)

Since we are having many users and a fast growing forum, we need to create a subforum for every player.

That would make about 25 subforums in the main forum "team".

Since it wouldn't make any sence to sord the subs alphabetically we need a function to sort them by last post.

I don't think this is as easy as you may think it is. You'd need to find someone who understands the datamanagers (or whatever they are called). From what I can see by taking a glance at this issue, the forums are not spit out based on a query when people ask for the page. Try doing a search on the term 'displayorder' in your files and you'll find the places where the forums are 'ordered'. Not a fun task, imo.
