I have heard that vbulletin can be hacked by perl script? Is it possible to stop it ? As phpbb has defended that.

There are no known vulnerabilites in the current production versions. If any vulnerability is discovered, then it is usualy patched within a day.

perl script... ? if someone can install a perl script on your server, sure he can hack your site... but if he can install a perl script it is because he firstly have access to your server, that means you gave him access... you give access to your server ??

anything from the inside can hack any software... it's up to you to choose a secure server which will be safe enough that nobody can hack you from the inside...
