Status Icons

Is there a step-by-step guide how to set up the icons to the right of the forum headings? I found the folder /statusicons and know that I need some sort of prefix. I need it from the beginning and as simple as possible. thank you.

You mean individual forum icons?

In the Forum Manager enter the Status Icon Image Prefix (for example something like "blabla_" - Don't forget the underscore).

The in the statusicon directory you need to recreate the icons so you would have:
blabla_forum_new.gif
blabla_forum_old.gif
blabla_... (e.t.c. until you've done all the forum_* icons).

do you mean that I should rename the files in the Images/Icons folder to something else? How do I know what they look like to know whether I want to use them? What opens them to take a look? Preview didn't work.

ok bro i just figured this out.

name your new gifs:

ab_forum_old.gif
ab_forum_new.gif
and so on.

in the admin panel - prefix box you put "ab_" minus the quotes of course.
