Mass PM?

Is there a way in 3.7 to send a mass PM?

I know emails can be sent but they are often in the junk box from my site and PM's get people to log in and have a look around.

I noticed there is an old mod but nothing newish which is a bit suprising.

A search found this modification (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=141622) (for 3.6, but had a fix at the end of the thread for 3.7).
