'lo mates. I was wondering is someone could kindly point me to the templates that need to be modified to remove the background class code. Two images to show you what I'm talking about exactly:

Is it possible for me to modify the background for only these two areas?

Sure. In Style Manager click Search in templates and search for this word: forumrules
You'll get results for every template that uses $forumrules and the actual template named forumrules that you can kill that <td class=" or edit as you like. ;)

Okay, the Posting Rules block at the bottom of threads is fixed! But....i'm still getting the red color and gradient behind forum posts, weird man!
I removed all of the class="alt1" code and class="alt2" code I could find in these templates that came up after the search:
FORUMDISPLAY
forumrules
SHOWTHREAD
Of all the other search results, none of those templates had the code in them. Still, no change on forum posts! What is happening?
EDIT: I've tried doing a search in all templates for the code... <td class="alt
I've been going through and deleting these (make sure the rest of my website isn't effected), and still no luck, hah!

You'd do better to only remove the name of the class itself. like, class="" that way upgrades are less confusing when you need to update templates for some reason. More of the code is still intact.
Your first image where the red is, is found in the postbit template. But if I was to guess I'd have to say you might have some sort of postbit edits going on there already or a mod that's added something there near the <!-- controls --> section of the postbit. (you can search for <!-- controls --> to get there quick)
I say that because I believe that where you see red on your forums there is no extra table or div there that would hold another color.
Unless, the top part of that reply area, above the sig line (in first image) is a brown background image tiled incorrectly with a red color background added via CSS?
You might check alt1 and alt2 in the CSS area of that theme for that.
BTW, if you wanted to do something special there on where the post and sig is displayed you could edit those class tags to anything you like in that section of postbit. If you don't already have a tag for it, create one and add it to the extra css box in styles.
