Import the product.

Go to your admin cp, then:

I did all that and it shows it as installed but, I don't see it anywhere.

Plugin Manager >> Mutual Friends Block - Sql

Find

eval('$template_hook[profile_right_mini] = "' . fetch_template('memberinfo_block_mutualfriends') . '";');

Replace for album under

eval('$template_hook[profile_right_album] = "' . fetch_template('memberinfo_block_mutualfriends') . '";');


You can use this hooks:

Nice idea, but it should be consistent with the friends block display (=use the memberinfo_tiny template, with the user's avatar).

If you visit a friend's page, mutual friends shows the list of friends you both have in common.

Great idea and installed, just one question... I've got mine set to show 12 mutual friends however it always seems to show one short.. ie. says 7 mutual friends only 6 showing ??

You may change of this from vb settings >> mutual friends block >> limit

I have the same problem with avatar size. What does Rebuilding the Custom Avatars Thumbnails change, if the avatars aren't 60x60 in the first place? I think:

width="60" height="60"

should be added to the image tag in your template.

Tried the rebuilding but it doesn't change a thing.

i dl'ed the xml but nothing shows in the profile area..i looked at the options>mutual friends and the mod is activated.

Yes it doesn't show people without avatar .. o_O ????

Can you update your mod that it only counts the "friends" and not the "contacts/buddies" ??

I cannot confirm this problem. On my installation contacts do not show as mutual friends.

Edit: Sorry. In can confirm it after all. Forgot that the user I was testing this with has no avatar. But the Mutual Friend count is too high indeed.

That's normal, because mutual friends are friends you and some other user have in common. You can see them on the profile of that other user. It would make no sense to have them shown on your profile, because that would compare your friends with your friends.

So basically, everytime you visit someone's profile, your friends are compared with the friend's of that person and those you have in common are shown in the mutual friends block of that person. So in a way you don't have one "own Mutual friends block" but you can find a different "own Mutual friends block" on every profile you visit.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that Mutual Friends are friends that have befriended you back. In vB normal friends are only shown when they have befriended you back. Otherwise they would be contacts and not friends.

You are aware that the block isn't visible on your own profile, but just on other people's profile, when you visit it? See my earlier post about this.

Doesn't appear all mutual friends! It happens in all profiles.... I can have 10 mutual friends and just show like 5 names. It's not good :confused:

Same happens to me!! The user needs an avatar to display on the mutual list, else its not displayed.

Anybody knows a solution for this?
