I like to see who is viewing my forum and sometimes get a IP address that disappears when you click it to view the ISP. I just had one that shows as 66.90.73.90 & when I click it to see who the ISP is it goes to a . as in a period. I have never seen this. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, JPT

Probably because it doesn't resolve. Look it up on network-tools and you get this:
IP address: 66.90.73.90
No host name is associated with this IP address or no reverse lookup is configured.
66.90.73.90 is from United States(US) in region North America

So when you mean it does not resolve, what does that mean please? I am new to this end of admin, JPT.

I mean that there the IP does not map out to a particular host name - so you can't say "oh, this IP belongs to AOL" or similar. The host has not 'registered' the IP, I guess (or they have other reasons for not wanting people to know who it is?). Sorry I can't be of more help there, but it's not really anything I've ever really looked into before.
