How do i change the category title colour.

Not sure what you mean by category but there is an older modification here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=116878) that might still work. Alternatively search the templates via the ACP for title to locate spots that you could edit.

thats a fantistic mod and i installed it! but not what i was looking for

Look for $forum[title] in the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template and wrap it with whatever HTML you prefer. Example:

<span style="color: #CC0000;">$forum[title]</span>
