Well I tried to search around, and I did not find anything. What I am wondering is if you can ban ip addresses instead of just usernames...? I have version 3.6.8, but I don't know if this type of mod is already installed or if I need to download one. Thanks for your time.

AdminCP->Vbulletin Options->Vbulletin Options->User Banning Options -> Banned IP Addresses.

But Banning IP's in a world of dynamic IP's is pretty useless.

is it worth the hassle? i have a lot of "google spiders" and other "crawalers" trying to create events all the time, messing with the calendar, even in areas reserved for admins :eek:

If its just you wanting to stop legit spiders from going to certain sections of your site, use a robots.txt file

Google for 'robots.txt how to'

why would you want to ban a spider? use a robots.txt file to comment them out of the calendar or any mod/admin areas

You can also ban ip's from most hosting control panels.
