So I've asked for some assistance on this matter in the regular forums, and have been given little assistance, except for to be told I could add a field for members to enter this info manually.
I would like to have a mod that would add a line in postbit to automatically display the poster's browser and os version. I realize it won't parse older posts, only new ones, of course.
Simple request, I'd think, since the first part of this is already available as a plugin for SMF forum software.
Anyone able to help?

Unless I'm mistaken, what your looking for is linked in the Similar Threads box at the bottom of this page.

First of all, it's a 3.6 mod.
Second, it's not automatic, which is what I really want. I already have a manual solution in place.

Well, it's just a call to your User Profile field numbers, so version doesn't matter. But in any case..
First thing I would try is snagging the code from your Who's Online template and see if it will additionally work in the postbits. I've never tried it before, but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I can see that as a possibility, though I was hoping for something a little bit more refined. I'm surprised there isn't a prebuilt solution for this, actually, from some enterprising coder.
Also, the user agent stuff from Who's Online is crude. I was hoping for something better.
