Hi,
I currently own a small forum which targets a section of Virginia and the lifestyle in the area.

Now my home page is the forum, I want to create a new landing page maintaining my custom vb style, best way to do this? My purpose with the landing page will be to welcome users and introduce the website. Also, what web address do I use since currently my forum is already forumname.com? Should I be thinking Vb advanced here ( I do not know how to use it).

Also I need to be official: How do I create the links at the bottom my page with links to such things as privacy policy etc. What links at the bottom of my page are necessary in addition to privacy policy?

Any further info needed just ask. Thanks vbers!

Rename your index.php to forum.php (or similar), and change the setting in the Admin CP (under vBulletin Options) that needs this defined.

Then create a new index.php following this article (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=62164).

How can I create the links like

Link to Us Advertise with Us! Terms of Service Privacy Policy Contact Us About Us

at the bottom of each of my pages?

Thank you

You can edit the footer template to add links there.

Thank you Dismounted.

Ok well once I have created my own vbulletin powered page, how should I go about adding content in an organized fashion to create a nice landing page. I use dream weaver some for my other websites but I dont know how to go from this new blank vb page to a nice landing page.

I do not see how to edit the new page I have created. The new page I made can be seen @ http://northernneckforums.com/test.php

You edit the template that you created.

Sure, I can go edit the basic text in the template, that is easy.

I am asking what editor or software should I use to make that template display a nice landing page, for example http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/forum/portal.php

has a nice home page with lots of organized boxes, is this where you use vbadvanced or what?

Thank you!

If you are using vbulletin powered pages then u dont use an editor. If you are not capable of HTML then install vbadvanced.
