i had installed vba cmps a while ago, and it worked pretty good, but then i upgraded my board, and added a new style, but it wasnt working as well after that, so i uninstalled vba cmps in the ACP and then i deleted all of the files in my FTP service. I then downloaded the latest version of vbadvanced CMPS, uploaded the files, installed it in the ACP, and i created a page as the homepage of my website, but when i go to the main page that i created with vba cmps, this is what shows up-

Please help fix this!

i did but now it says Invalid forum path specified! Please edit this file and be sure to include the correct path for your $forumpath variable.

Yup, now edit the file as it states and enter the forums folder path on the line that is provided.

If you dont know the path, i would suggest using a info.php and look at the bottom of that page to find it or submit a ticket to your host and ask them.

Try this, go into your admincp/vbacmps/default settings.
On the very first line, "The full URL to your CMPS file (originally named cmps_index.php)."
Remove cmps_, also do this via ftp on the cmps_index.php.

If you have questions/problems with a modification or style, then please post in the thread (or support forum/board) about that modification/style. Best chance to receive a reply from either the author or another member using the same modification/style.

It would help if you read the instructions that was provided with vbadvanced its clearly stated in Step 1 on how to edit the file and add your forum path.

actually i fixed it! For anyone else who needs to know this, you can find out your forum path easily. In the vBadvanced CMPS folder that you downloaded, there is a file called forumpath.php in the Extras (do not upload) folder. Upload forumpath.php to your forums folder, then point your browser to that file. it will show you your forum path

So what your saying is that you read directions and it told you how to do it.

So what your saying is that you read directions and it told you how to do it.Yes.

If he/she had read the "readme_vba_cmps.html" that is in the downloaded zip file then step #1, as Snakes1100 pointed out, of the install instructions even links to the FAQ (which is also in the same readme file) on how to use the forumpath.php script to find out the path.

They could've also did what both Blind-Eddie & Marco suggested and asked for help at the official support forums and we would've been happy to help them out as well.
