Additional Information in registration

If I take out the "Additional Information" area in the registration template, will registration still work? I just want to make it easier and I don't think the "Additional Information" is needed.

You can choose what fields are shown in the Admin CP (under vBulletin Options).

For custom profile fields, you can edit them under

AdminCP > Custom User Proifile Fields > User Field Manager

I want to show any of my custom user fields in the registration. Anybody have an idea how can i do this?
