View Full Version : What picture hosting solutions do people use?

Over the years I've messed around with quite a few picture hosting options, ranging from custom building my own to, as we're currently using, Photopost.
However the users always struggle with image uploading as it can be a complex process.

They want to be able to drag pictures from their pc straight to "something" that can display them in their forum post. Additionally they expect that the picture be resized automatically and available to them in their gallery should they want it.

The issue for me is purely in the uploading and resizing. There appear to be few solutions that do that well, Flickr's uploading tool is good, but none that are tightly integrated with vBulletin.

So am I the only one that is searching for this great all in one solution, or am I missing some great product that everyone else is using?

Or are we moving to a point now where we just tell users to go get an on-line image hosting account like Flickr or Smugmug or something similar?

I use this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=123481&highlight=image+hosting). There is no drag-n-drop feature, but my members love it. I don't allow any images hosted off site. I have experienced slow loading waiting on external images to load. This is a great addon.

Thanks. Does it resize the pictures automatically. So if someone uploads an 4MB file it will deal with it?

All,
Is there really no other opinions out there on what to use?
